Culture and DEI ConsultantApply NowHow to ApplyA cover letter of one page or less is required and should be attached as the first page of your resume (due to system limitations).NOTE: This is a two-year, term limited position with potential for extension based on availability of work and continued funding.SummaryReporting to the Associate Director of Organizational Learning (OL), the Culture and DEI Consultant provides expert consultation and coaching to leaders to improve organizational effectiveness related to culture and DEI programs. You will design and run interventions concentrating on the enhancement of the leader's capability to create and promote a workplace culture that is inclusive, equitable and exemplifies our core organizational values.Responsibilities

Provide consultation, coaching, and support to university leaders on strategies for creating an inclusive environment. Ensure leaders understand principles of an inclusive culture and equip them to apply the principles within the context of the University community.

Conduct culture assessments in collaboration with leaders to assess the unit's organizational culture. Identify gaps and opportunities to improve in areas such as in diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Develop and implement customized interventions and action plans to guide cultural change and promote inclusivity within the unit. Ensure success with input from team members and in partnership with leadership.

Analyze data to measure the effectiveness of programs and make recommendations for continuous improvement. Handle confidential information with discretion.

Design and conduct virtual and in-person workshops, presentations and discussions that enhance understanding and sensitivity toward issues of discrimination, bias, and microaggressions to educate and empower leaders at all levels.

Represent OL on various committees and work groups; keep abreast of current culture change and DEI research and trends to inform consulting practice.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in HR Management, Psychology, Sociology, Education, Cultural Studies or related field

Minimum of 5 or more years experience providing consulting and leadership coaching with a significant focus on culture change

Working knowledge of current DEI practices in the workplace

Strong understanding of systemic discrimination, bias, and microaggressions as they apply to leadership and workplace culture

Experience building partnerships with individuals outside your organization

Work LocationsThis role may be hybrid but will require some onsite work due to the collaborative nature of the team.
