Personal Chef in need of a personal chef's assistant for part-time labor.
As a chef assistant, your job duties include managing inventory, ensuring that the kitchen meets food safety and cleanliness standards, and assist the chef with food preparation. The qualifications to include training from a culinary school, proven cooking skills, and experience working in a kitchen. You will need strong teamwork abilities and a willingness to work a flexible schedule.
I am seeking a highly motivated individual dedicated to culinary excellence to join my service as a Chef Assistant. You will arrive early each day to prep ingredients, sauces, dressings, and any special items. You will also work with assisting the chef, in cleaning. This job requires prior kitchen experience, and our ideal candidate has formal culinary training in addition to excellent multitasking and organizational skills.
The work itself has no particular job description, and you may be asked to perform work you have never done before with specific instruction. It is extremely important to be a great communicator.
Hours vary from week to week, but there will always be something to do. Most work is performed in the chef's personal kitchen, but often times, you will assist the chef in remote locations where the event takes place.
Must be able to lift 25 pounds.
Must have the ability to read and speak English, especially with recipes and menus.
Must be able to speak English fluently
Basic math skills are key to your performance
A servsafe license or state food service manager's license is not required, but knowledge of allergens and foodborne illness' is extremely helpful
must be clean and well groomed and maintained.
A valid driver license is required
