Description: Are you ready to join a high-performing Finance and Business Operations team, in the defense and security industry, supporting cutting-edge Radio Frequency design and manufacturing programs?We need a proactive team player; a fast learner; an innovator who is able to overcome obstacles.A solid education in business, finance, industrial engineering, data analysis or accounting will be most useful.This entry-level role will be an opportunity to learn the basics of defense industry program cost performance analysis, while contributing to meeting company and program objectives. Work assignments will be provided by team leaders. On-the-job training will be provided by current program cost analysts and team leaders.Primary responsibilities will be labor analysis, including weekly and monthly program performance metrics, monthly program earned value assessment, quarterly labor hour forecasts for programs, and labor hour estimates for proposals.Position will initially require on-site presence at least 75% of the time, with possibility of working up to 50% remotely after successfully completing training and demonstrating ability to independently perform responsibilities.Successful candidate must be able to work as part of a team, and will be responsible for ensuring compliance with Lockheed Martin policies and procedures, as well as Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) and contract requirements.Day-to-day tasks will initially include running SAP reports, exporting data to Excel, gathering and organizing data from various systems, entering data into performance reports, updating performance metric dashboards, assisting with data analysis, developing cost performance metric presentations, and effectively collaborating with other team members, across functional and program organizations.Excellent opportunity to cross-train, working along-side more experienced analysts, to develop a broad set of related skills, which will help prepare for advancement to higher level positions.Ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience delivering on-time results, with a high degree of accuracy, while acting independently and handling multiple tasks, in a fast-paced environment.The Locale: Chelmsford is a charming suburb of Boston, located about 25 miles northwest of that city. Chelmsford is very close to historic Lowell, Massachusetts, and to Nashua, New Hampshire. Chelmsford is within reach of New Hampshire’s White Mountains and awesome ski areas to the north, and the scenic coastal towns of MA and NH are about an hour east. This scenic colonial region offers lots of New England charm, great schools, shopping, and restaurants. Chelmsford and the region share an impressive past from the early days after the pilgrims arrived in Plymouth to the revolutionary war. Where can you get to from Chelmsford? Chelmsford is about 90 minutes from Cape Cod. Boston is about 30 minutes to the southeast, without traffic. New York City is about 4.5 hours away from Chelmsford. Waterville Valley and other major ski resorts of New Hampshire and Vermont are about 2 to 3 hours to the north. It should be noted that Chelmsford is within easy commuting distance of a wide range of substantially more affordable regions, when considering housing, including Northeastern and North Central Massachusetts, and Southern New Hampshire.This position will be located in the leased office space at 10 Technology Road, Westford, Mass., which is about 2 miles from the Chelmsford facility at 16 Maple Road.Basic Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in business, finance, data analysis or accounting.Ability to obtain DoD Secret clearance.Basic Microsoft Excel skills: at least one year of experience using Excel in college coursework, or previous job, or personal application, to organize, report, and/or analyze data.Desired Skills:1) Advanced-level proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables, graphs, VLOOKUP, and conditional formulas; 2) mid-level proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook; 3) Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; 4) Data organization skills; 5) Data analysis skills, especially cost variance calculations and explanations; 6) Data visualization skills, especially with web-based tools like Tableau software; 7) Basic accounting skills, especially cost accounting; 8) Budgeting skills; 9) Cost estimating skills.Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.Clearance Level: SecretOther Important Information You Should KnowExpression of Interest: By applying to this job, you are expressing interest in this position and could be considered for other career opportunities where similar skills and requirements have been identified as a match.
