Cummington Supply, a small family-owned hardware store and lumber yard, is seeking a full-time driver and yard position with benefits – open immediately.
Job Description:
- Make deliveries throughout Western Massachusetts.
- Work as part of a team loading and unloading trucks as needed.
- Wait on customers in the yard quickly with a pleasant attitude.
- Assist in maintaining the yard, putting material away, straightening stock, cleaning yard as needed.
- Other responsibilities include: snow removal, lawn mowing, weekly dump run, helping maintain the physical property, care and maintenance of the vehicles.
- Able to lift 80 lbs.
- Prior forklift experience helpful.
- Clean driving record.
As the delivery driver you are a very public face for our small business, you are expected to drive safely and treat everyone with respect. You will come into contact with a wide variety of people, the ability to work with others in a cheerful manner is vital. Asking questions, attention to detail and flexible thinking are required. As a small business there are no small jobs and we work as a team.
Hours:
- You will work a 6-day week. Alternative Saturdays. We are open M-F 7am-5pm, Sat 8am-12noon.
- You are guaranteed a minimum of 40 hours a week. We are open 54 hours a week, any time over 40 hours is at time and a half. Full week $1,037.00 before taxes.
- Raise after first month probationary period.
