We are looking to hire a bench carpenter for our flatpack plywood shelving company.
We are a small but expanding storage company looking to hire some production hands. We cnc cut our shelves and most of the work is detail oriented touchup.
However we do have a custom side of the shop where we build cabinets, kitchens, sets, sculpture etc.
abilities and Skills
Must possess strong bench carpentry skills - furniture, cabinet building, millwork
Demonstrates mastery in wood based construction and joinery
Specific experience in lamination and cabinet assembly required
Can read shop drawings - ability to work in metric a plus, but not required
Familiar with safe operation of woodworking tools - routers, planer, joiner, table saw, chop saw, etc.
Welding a plus
Spray finishing a plus/ hand applied finishes.
Demonstrate an eye for detail and accuracy
Works in an organized fashion - keeps a clean workspace
Ability to lift heavy load (up to 60 lbs.)
Motivated, willing to learn and self-educate for unique builds
Self-paced with ability to work with minimal supervision
Ability to meet deadlines and multi-task multiple projects
