A&D Tool Co has an open position for ProtoTrak / Bridgeport operator with Mill / Lathe experience.
This is a critical role responsible for complex machining to create close tolerance, aerospace /
automotive / energy systems and firearms components. If you have 5+ years of ProtoTRAK /
Bridgeport and metal machining, we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities:
-Set-up and operate ProtoTRAK / Bridgeport Mill and lathe machines.
-Analyze drawings, sketches and design data of parts to determine optimum tooling and process for
the entire scope of the manufacturing of a given part.
- Must perform routine maintenance on assigned production equipment, i.e. maintain cleanliness
of work area and machinery, check machinery fluids and alert supervisor of malfunctions.
-Operate lifting and handling equipment such as hand truck, pallet jack, to maneuver in process or
finished components to desired location.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
-Knowledgeable of in-process inspection techniques, standards, and requirements.
Able to use and interpret precision measuring devices such as micrometers, verniers, and various
hand tools i.e. gauges to verify the accuracy of dimensional characteristics of components.
-Knowledge of metal characteristics in a production setting is desirable.
-Knowledge of programming codes a plus.
-Machinists must have good verbal and written communication skills and good interpersonal skills.
-Must work well with colleagues, supervision and management.
