Job Summary:
A Commercial Printing Bindery Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining bindery equipment to produce high-quality printed materials. This role includes cutting, folding, stitching, and binding printed products according to job specifications while ensuring efficiency, quality, and safety in a fast-paced production environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate bindery equipment such as cutters, folders, stitchers, and binders
Set up machines according to job specifications and production schedules
Inspect finished products for quality and accuracy
Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on bindery equipment
Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean work area
Collaborate with press operators and production staff to meet deadlines
Handle and stack printed materials efficiently to prevent damage
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
Experience in commercial printing or bindery operations preferred
Ability to operate and adjust bindery equipment accurately
Strong attention to detail and quality control
Ability to work independently and meet production deadlines
Physically able to lift and move heavy materials
