PCA desired for two shifts per week- Tuesdays and Saturdays, 4pm-8pm.
Client is senior female in her 80s, very lively- motorized wheelchair which she frequently crashes (because she drives it too fast)
The afternoon shift is meal prep and company. She may have you do laundry. There are meds, they are light at night. You can keep busy with household tasks if you like, but I would love it if there was company to distract my aunt away from the news. (She has mild dementia - she can occasionally get confused and suspicious. Mainly she remains alert, amusing, and amused).
Experience does not hurt but kindness and teachable nature are more important. A sense of humor is crucial.
We currently have a great team of PCAs who love my aunt as their own. I couldn't be happier. What are the odds we can find one more?
