We have an immediate need for a companion/driver for a 75-year-old adult female who struggles with short term memory loss from a car accident. She has no other physical limitations. The pay is $19.50 per hour and is paid directly by Tempus.
The ideal candidate would have prior experience working with memory loss; however we will consider the right person without this if they are a good fit. You must have reliable communication stills, lots of patience, maturity, a good driving record, a reliable vehicle, be out going, and must have proof of Covid vaccinations.
We are looking for only ONE day per week, 6 hours on Thursdays. 2-8 PM. Two times per month, every other week, Laurie has a standing appointment in Northampton. The alternate two Thursdays will be filed with your ideas for arts and crafts projects, games, puzzles, close to home excursions, weather permitting etc. You will also be expected to prepare light meals, give her night-time pills and do some light clean up. This is an excellent opportunity to make a difference is someone's life and earn a little extra cash. Gas money will be provided.
