Hours: Minimum 12 hours per week, $30 per hour (CashApp, Venmo, or Zelle payments only)
Responsibilities:
- Provide compassionate care and companionship to an elderly father in his home.
- Assist with ostomy care, including changing and cleaning, with respect and professionalism. NON NEGOTIABLE.
- Must be comfortable helping client bathe, dress, and other hygienic needs
- Help the father with mobility challenges, including standing and moving around.
- Ensure the cleanliness of the home, including light housekeeping duties.
- Prepare meals according to dietary needs and preferences.
- Accompany the father for grocery shopping and other errands as required.
- Maintain a flexible schedule to accommodate the varying needs of the father.
Requirements:
- Prior experience in caregiving, preferably for elderly individuals.
- Comfortable and skilled in dealing with ostomy care and related tasks.
- Respectful, patient, and empathetic towards the needs of the elderly.
- Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality.
- Must possess a valid driver's license and have access to a reliable vehicle.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to follow instructions.
- Must be willing to undergo a background check and provide references.
- Ability to assist with standing and mobility challenges.
Live-In Option:
- Board, food, room, and utilities provided.
- Option to have the entire second floor of a spacious 5-bedroom house to yourself, except when family occasionally visits.
- Hourly pay not applicable for Live-In. A stipend of $400 per week will be provided for care given to client.
- Having a second job is encouraged.
- Live-in caregivers are required to stay a minimum of 5 nights per week.
Additional Information:
- Client is mostly quiet and enjoys watching television, but companionship is essential.
- Flexibility in scheduling is crucial to meet the dynamic needs of caregiving.
- Please note that travel to and from work are NOT considered work hours.
- This position will last until July 1st, as a new caregiver will be starting then.
