The Leverett Village Co-op is looking for an experienced cook (2+ years in a commercial kitchen preferred) to take over our Friday evening community dinners!
For the past four years, we have had a lot of fun hosting live music and pizza on Friday evenings, and we’re hoping to bring it back this fall! Our ideal candidate is someone confident, friendly, and self-directed who wants to make our dinner program their own. In the past, we have primarily made pizza to order, but we are hoping to expand our offerings to other kinds of food. This job would also involve occasionally cooking for special events, and perhaps even expanding our kitchen offerings to be available beyond Friday evenings.
This position is part time, Fridays required.
Other days with flexible hours can potentially be added if desired. Pay is dependent on experience. Since we are in North Leverett, a car is required for this position. The co-op is a wonderful community to be a part of, and we look forward to hearing from you!
Some important notes: this job is physical and requires standing for whole shifts. Heat tolerance is also required! The kitchen can get very hot.
