Proven experience in embedded systems design with preemptive, multitasking real-time operating systems Proficiency in C/C for embedded systems Strong software development skills and knowledge/experience in software engineering best practices (i.e. OOD, modularity, extensibility, reusability and maintainability) Strong Debugging skills using tools such as Oscilloscopes, Logic Analyzers, Emulators and hardware based debuggers Excellent knowledge of OS coding techniques, IP protocols, interfaces and hardware subsystems Familiarity with GNU make and build systems Experience with software configuration management tools (SVN), requirements management tools(JAMA), defect tracking tools (JIRA), and peer review (Crucible) Experience in reading schematics and data sheets for components Knowledge in Agile methodology and CMMi/ASPICE processes Quick Learner, excellent verbal and written technical communication skills Ability to technically mentor a small team Experience level: 6 to 8 years.
