Description We are in the process of recruiting a Bookkeeper to join our team in Norwell, Massachusetts. As a Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for managing client accounts, handling bookkeeping tasks, and ensuring financial records are accurate and up-to-date. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity. Responsibilities: Oversee the reconciliation of various business accounts, ensuring all financial transactions are correctly recorded Manage the reconciliation of IOLTA accounts, adhering to all necessary legal and regulatory standards Utilize QuickBooks for all bookkeeping tasks, ensuring accurate data entry and record-keeping Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable, processing payments, and chasing up any overdue invoices Conduct regular bank reconciliations, resolving any discrepancies as quickly as possible Ensure all customer credit applications are processed efficiently and accurately Maintain meticulous customer credit records, updating these as necessary Manage all aspects of payroll, ensuring all employees are paid correctly and on time Utilize Microsoft Excel for data analysis and financial reporting purposes Respond to customer inquiries, providing high-quality customer service and resolving any issues that arise. Requirements Proficiency in account reconciliation Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) Familiarity with bank reconciliations Comprehensive understanding of bookkeeping practices Proficient in data entry tasks Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel Experience in processing payroll Expertise in using QuickBooks for financial management Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to work independently and in a team environment Problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions Ability to handle confidential information with discretion Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred) Prior experience in a similar role (preferred) Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
