job detailsjob summary:Immediate need for a PCB Technician knowledgable with SMT and the ability to program using pTools. Setup equipment including programming (using P-Tools and/or programming directly on the machine) of SMT (surface mount) circuit card assemblies using a Yamaha platform of machines.
Optimize equipment and assist operators in order to meet weekly delivery goals.
Maintain equipment as needed and per the manufacturer guidelines to ensure full functionality and throughput.
Support prototype builds and the first article review process.
Work with vendors to specify new equipment geared towards new capabilities or increased production efficiencies.
Work with other operations and quality functions to ensure all work orders, specifications, and drawings are accurate before beginning production.
Help out generally as part of the team, especially when production deadlines are tight.
Desired Requirements
Mechanically minded, practical, comfortable in a manufacturing environment, and able to operate/ program production equipment (P-Tools)
Familiarity with Yamaha equipment of similar
Must have an understanding of component values and packaging
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Powerpoint).
Good attention to detail and good numeracy ability.
Team player with exceptional interpersonal skills.
3+ years related experience operating SMT/PCB performing programming and set-up of SMT (surface mount) circuit card assemblies using a Yamaha (or similar) platform of machines
