LGC is seeking a highly motivated Technical Sales Specialist to support and expand our Seraseq portfolio of reference materials across the United States. This role is ideal for a scientifically trained professional with a strong background in Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) who is passionate about customer engagement, technical sales, and business development.To excel in this role, the individual must proficiently carry out the following essential functions:Prospecting & Business Development:Identify and develop new sales opportunities within potential customer accounts.Expand existing customer relationships by uncovering additional product needs and applications.Drive sales growth through proactive outreach, including cold calls, emails, and virtual meetings.Technical Sales & Customer Engagement:Deliver technical presentations and product demonstrations to educate customers on the benefits of Seraseq reference materials.Understand and address customer challenges related to assay validation, quality control, and regulatory compliance.Provide consultative sales support to help customers select appropriate reference materials for their specific applicationsAccount Management & Support:Maintain strong customer relationships to ensure high retention and satisfaction.Work collaboratively with internal teams, including marketing and product management, to support customer needs.Track and report sales activities, customer interactions, and market trends.Evaluate market opportunities, conduct initial analysis of market opportunities to include return on investment, Service offerings, new markets.Industry and Product Knowledge: Cultivate and maintain a deep understanding of industry trends, client operations, and competitive offerings to effectively position LGC Diagnostics & Genomics products. Effectively represent LGC in various market-facing roles.Other Duties as Assigned: Demonstrate flexibility and collaboration in responding to the business needs – both internal and external – by addressing significant corporate initiatives as requested by management.
