Eurofins Environment Testing is looking to hire a full time Microbiologist for our Middleboro, MA location. This candidate will work with Laboratory Manager to plan, direct and control the workflow in the specific area of responsibility and to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of productivity of the Microbiology laboratory. Under general supervision, performs sample handling in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations for environmental laboratories. Participates in documenting and performing tasks necessary to maintain the integrity of samples and support the analytical data.This is Full tie Monday-Friday  8:00am-5:00pm Overtime as needed.  Occasional Saturday.Compensation is $18-22/hour  (DOE) DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Operate in the Microbiological Division of Analytical Balance.Run requested analysis on samples submitted to the laboratory.Document results for analysis on bench sheets.Perform routine laboratory tasks including but not limited to: media preparation, wash glassware and maintain retained samples.Maintain certifications of the laboratory with RI and MA certification boardsResearch and Develop new methods of analysis in order to improve the capabilities of the laboratoryAssist with training new staff in new methodologiesMaintain Quality Control and Quality Assurance Program for Analytical Balance’s Microbiology LaboratoryMaintain stock and other consumables in the laboratory.Work with staff of Analytical Balance and other departments in to increase productivity of laboratory and companyRevise Standard Operating Procedures as requested
