Job Description SummaryThe Lead Quality Management Specialist is responsible for product quality review associated with the manufacturing process. We are looking for a seasoned individual with a deep understanding of concepts, approaches and methodology used. This individual should also have a deep level of expertise in the technological field including the quality assurance of products, services and manufacturing processes.Job DescriptionRoles and Responsibilities

Be responsible and serve as focal for the overall quality of the conformance in manufacturing, incoming goods control, and inspection of production engines

Recommend changes to procedures to lead process improvements

Coordinate with engineering on manufacturing related issues

Lead Investigations related to quality issues - create 4 blockers describing investigation/action status – present to plant leader at bi-weekly quality meeting

Identify/implement corrective actions for quality issues

Develop and manage metrics and action plans to drive reduction in incoming quality issues.

Support engine sickbays

Ensure Product Conformity. Lead and manage completion of Characteristic Accountability, driving process updates and changes in design as required

Update/create quality procedures

Conduct quarterly workstation audits

Serve as focal for internal (Customer, ie. DoD) and support external audits (DNV, FAA, etc.)

Support and Lead Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis events

Investigate/answer all product related quality concerns

Support Quality CCC, present quality metrics

Inputs and influences decisions within own discipline and area

Works on very complex technological issues or manufacturing processes

Coach and mentor newer team members

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in Quality)

Minimum of 3 years of experience in Production Quality or Manufacturing or GE Leadership Program Graduate in lieu of experience
