Tax Preparer

Description We are offering a short-term contract employment opportunity for a Tax Accountant in Littleton, Massachusetts. This role is in a hybrid work environment and is part of the financial services industry. Responsibilities: Prepare and review individual tax returns Take on business tax preparation tasks, if prior experience is applicable Operate with minimal supervision, demonstrating a high level of independence Start work immediately and with confidence Utilize Lacerte software for tax preparation tasks.Requirements The candidate must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a Tax Preparer role. Proficient understanding and skills in Tax Preparation are required. The candidate should have significant experience in preparing Individual Tax Returns. Must have a strong knowledge of tax laws and regulations. Experience with tax preparation software is a must. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Enrolled Agent (EA) certification is preferred. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills are necessary. The ability to maintain confidentiality and provide excellent customer service is essential. An aptitude for numbers and quantitative skills is necessary. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines is crucial. The candidate should have strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required. The candidate should have the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Must be comfortable handling sensitive financial information.
