93807BRJob Title:Seafood Sales SpecialistLocation:Performance Foodservice Boston (0561)Job Description:Position SummaryResponsible for promoting sales in the Seafood Category and working with vendors to obtain the lowest cost of goods available for the required quality of product. Understands the changes in market conditions and the impact on cost of Seafood products. May be responsible for procurement of Seafood products, which requires making purchasing decisions and leverage buys based on tonnage. Supports sales team through demonstration and education on Seafood products to associates and customers. Functions as a team member within the department and cross-functions, as required, and performs any duty assigned to best serve the company.Responsibilities
Obtain optimum cost of goods sold by leveraging purchasing based on tonnage.
Building relationships with suppliers, sales, customers and OpCo associates
Drive the sales of Seafood items by educating the sales team and customers through training and demonstrations of Seafood items
Collaborate and communicate negotiated deals with the Sales and Procurement teams
Negotiate pricing and purchasing deals with vendors/suppliers
Perform other duties as assigned
