Senior Staff Accountant

Description We are seeking a Senior Staff Accountant to become a crucial member of our team. Located in Dorchester, Massachusetts, this role offers a contract to permanent employment opportunity. The individual will be responsible for a variety of tasks, from processing invoices to full cycle accounting, all within a fast-paced, dynamic environment.Responsibilities: Overseeing all aspects of Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR), including the prompt processing of invoices Handling bank reconciliations and ensuring financial records are accurate and current Managing the general ledger and making necessary adjustments Preparing and adjusting journal entries as required Leading full cycle accounting to ensure financial processes are operating smoothly Conducting financial analysis to identify and understand trends or variances Preparing comprehensive financial statements for review Utilizing QuickBooks to manage financial data and support accounting operations Ensuring the month-end close process is completed accurately and efficiently. Requirements Minimum of 5 years of experience in an accounting role. Proficiency in accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR). Experience in bank reconciliations. Knowledge of general ledger procedures. Ability to prepare and record journal entries. Demonstrated experience with month-end close processes. Proficiency in QuickBooks or similar accounting software. Ability to prepare and analyze financial statements.
