We know companies that embrace diversity in all its forms not only deliver stronger business results, but also become a force for good, fueling stronger business performance and greater opportunity for employees, partners, investors and communities to succeed.The following position is to join our RTX Corporate, Enterprise Services, Research Center or BBN team: The Director of Workplace Planning will be responsible to build an enterprise WP function by assessing current state, diagnosing opportunities for transformation, and leading the transition from current to future state.The primary objective of Workplace Planning (also known as Occupancy Planning or OP) is to efficiently deploy enterprise workplace assets to enable optimal performance from and experience for the RTX workforce. A successful WP strategy will result in an optimized portfolio aligned with business goals, with an average cost reduction of 20-30%, high utilization of remaining workplace assets, and exceptional employee experience.What You Will DoBuild and lead the Workplace Planning function for the enterprise within Enterprise Real Estate Services (ERES)Lead a team of four (4) Regional Workplace Planning Leads to:

Effectively allocate workspace

Align workspace supply with demand while optimizing employee experience

Produce and maintain master occupancy plans

Ensure CAFM data completeness and accuracy

Produce workplace reporting and forecasting

Determine workspace requirements and develop space programs

Generate test fits and create block/stack plans

Conduct options analyses

Coordinate workplace measurement activities

Develop and maintain a Workplace Planning Playbook

Build and lead a Community of Practice for WP practitioners and others involved in related work across the enterprise.

Qualifications You Must Have

This role typically requires a Bachelors degree in a related field and 14 years of relevant experience or an advanced degree and 12 years of relevant experience

At least 10 years’ experience in Workplace/Occupancy Planning in both traditional, 1:1 seating models as well as dynamic, activity based environments with shared seating

At least 10 years experience with and fluent understanding of CAFM systems and experience with the workflows required to sustain the up-to-date dataset required for workplace optimization

Knowledge of key workplace metrics and research and measurement methodologies to include occupancy/vacancy, utilization, and desking ratios.

At least 8 years’ experience leading a team of direct reports

U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access the financial management system due to government contractual requirements

The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
