First Student is hiring an experienced Diesel Mechanic for our Plymouth shop. This is not an entry-level job—industry experience is required! Help keep our classic yellow school buses safe and reliable for local schools.
What We Offer:
$32–$36.50/hr (union, NOT flat-rate)
Monday–Friday, 6am–2:30pm or 8:30am–5pm

$0.25/hr extra per ASE (we pay for your tests)

What You’ll Do:
Diagnose & repair brakes, suspensions, drivetrains, transmissions
Keep buses running safely for our community
Complete work orders, help with mobile calls when needed
What You Need:
3–5 years’ experience working with automotive, diesel, electric, or CNG vehicles (industry experience required)
Valid driver’s license - CDL is highly preferred - (CDL training provided)
Your own tools
No degree required. Military & career returnees welcome!
