Position Overview:
We are seeking reliable and detail-oriented individuals to join our team as Wholesale Seafood Delivery Drivers. This position is available in both part-time and full-time capacities and involves transporting seafood products to and from our wholesale market to various locations. Candidates must have a valid driver's license with a good driving record. Experience in seafood delivery and proficiency in creating and managing invoices are advantageous for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
Delivery Operations:
Safely operate company vehicles to pick up and deliver wholesale seafood products to designated locations.
Ensure timely and accurate delivery of orders, adhering to assigned routes and schedules.
Handle seafood products with care during loading, unloading, and transportation to maintain quality and freshness.
Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
Inventory Management:
Assist in loading and unloading seafood products onto delivery vehicles, ensuring accurate counts and proper handling.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of delivery vehicles and storage areas.
Communicate any inventory discrepancies or issues to the appropriate personnel for resolution.
Customer Service:
Provide courteous and professional customer service during deliveries, including accurate order verification and timely communication.
Address customer inquiries or concerns promptly and escalate issues as needed to ensure customer satisfaction.
Invoicing and Documentation:
Create and manage invoices for delivered orders, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Maintain records of deliveries, including receipts, invoices, and delivery logs, in accordance with company procedures.
Assist in reconciling delivery documentation with inventory records and sales transactions as needed.
Safety and Compliance:
Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies while operating delivery vehicles.
Follow proper handling procedures for seafood products to ensure food safety and compliance with health regulations.
Report any accidents, incidents, or vehicle maintenance issues promptly to management.
Qualifications:
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Prior experience in delivery, preferably in the seafood or food industry.
Ability to lift and move heavy objects, including seafood crates and boxes, safely and efficiently.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling invoices and delivery documentation.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Knowledge of local traffic routes and familiarity with navigation tools or GPS systems.
Flexibility to work varied hours, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends, as needed.
