We’re looking for a hands-on, mechanically inclined individual to join our team as a Hydraulics Technician. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a mechanical background—or a strong mechanical aptitude—who is eager to learn and grow in the hydraulic systems industry.
Position Overview
The Hydraulics Technician is responsible for building hydraulic hose and fitting assemblies, managing parts inventory, and providing excellent customer service—often assembling hoses while customers wait. Safety, attention to detail, and maintaining an organized, clean work environment are key aspects of this role. You will report directly to the General Manager.
Key Responsibilities
Hose Assembly & Repairs
Build hydraulic hose and fitting assemblies to customer specifications.
Perform basic mechanical repairs on valves and pumps.
Inventory Management
Maintain, order, and receive hose, fittings, and adapter inventory through our online inventory management system.
Conduct routine inventory audits and reconcile stock levels with system reports.
Prepare purchase orders for approval and properly stock incoming shipments.
Customer Service & Sales Support (In store, Over the Phone and by email)
Provide outstanding customer service, including assembling hoses while customers wait.
Assist with sales of electric clutches and other hydraulic equipment.
Safety & Housekeeping
Follow all safety procedures and report unsafe conditions.
Maintain a clean, organized workspace; clean spills immediately and store tools properly.
Support other shop operations and tasks as needed.
Physical Requirements
Lift to 50 lbs. as needed.
Stand for extended periods; occasional bending, crouching, pushing, and pulling.
Qualifications
Required:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
Basic computer skills and ability to learn inventory software.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Preferred:
Previous experience in hydraulic hose assembly or mechanical repair.
Forklift operation experience (training provided).
Technical schooling or certifications in hydraulics or related fields.
Functional knowledge of hydraulic systems.
