Urban Property Management, a full-service property management firm founded in 1983 and focusing exclusively on the management of condominium associations, is seeking an energetic and motivated service technician who is skilled at multi-site maintenance and understands multi-unit building systems such as HVAC, plumbing, and electrical, and has experience in carpentry and painting.
Responsible for day-to-day maintenance and repair for a portfolio of residential condominium buildings in downtown Boston, each day you will work on multiple properties and multiple service requests. Work is performed in a high-quality manner. Clients and property are treated with respect and hospitality. Performing emergency on-call service for after-hours maintenance related issues is required, typically one week each month.
Job Requirements:
You must own a reliable truck or van, possess a valid driver’s license, and live within 15 miles of downtown Boston.
Previous experience working in property management/maintenance
A clean, professional appearance and demeanor
Reliability and punctuality are crucial to this position
Excellent oral and written communications skills
Computer skills (Apple iPad)
Must be authorized to work in the United States
Background check and drug test may be required for employment
Working Conditions:
Hands-on repair and maintenance work constitutes most of the time and duties. Must be able to move up to 50 pounds; have the mobility to use ladders; make use of general maintenance equipment including hand tools, power tools, ladders, and required safety equipment. Work is completed 100% onsite, downtown Boston, MA.
