The Lawn Care Technician is responsible for performing a variety of work tasks in order to manage the timely completion of commercial lawn care service contracts. The technician will also be required to diagnose and correct lawn/landscaping problems through service calls. During the winter months, carries out duties as a winter site manager pending previous work experience.

Job Duties:
- Load/unload of trucks and trailers in the AM and PM and ensure both are DOT compliant
- Plan routes with Lawn Care Manager for most efficient drive times
- Operate truck, trailer and equipment safely as well as maintain all through cleanliness, safety and general maintenance
- Apply fertilizers and pesticides to lawns and landscape according to schedule, safety procedures and labels
- Communicate with managers and patrons of the sites in a courteous and polite manner
- Inspect, identify and report insect and disease activity – convey to appropriate manager and make judgement calls on course or action
- Document, both written and electronically, services provided and current conditions of property to appropriate manager
- Recommend and point out upsell opportunities to managers
- Wear appropriate personal protective equipment and always follow company safety procedures and policies
- Submit timesheets in a timely manner and ensure accuracy of material reporting
- Other duties as directed by Lawn Care Manager
Requirements:
- Possess the proper state licensing or is able to study and pass a state administered exam, within the given time frame.
-1-3 years experience as a tech or similar experience in the field preferred but not necessary, willing to train the right candidate
- Mathematical skills to calculate dilutions, application rates, mixing ratios area, volume, etc
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to obtain and retain D.O.T Medical card
- Ability to lift 50lbs regularly
- Knowledge of plant material preferred
Work Conditions:
- Often lifting a minimum of 50 lbs. repeatedly through an entire work shift. Shifts can include walking, standing and crouching for long periods of time – excellent stamina required
