- Developing a unified technology and infrastructure vision that meets business and technical goals, as well as establishing the frameworks/patterns that will address future needs
- Identifying, communicating, and implementing critical technical design and security principles that guide decision making across engineering, operations, and product teams
- Establishing a technical roadmap that can moves Yottaa towards the above
- Driving technology and vendor selection decisions
- Demonstrated ability to drive architectural vision for a company or highly scalable product line
- Ability and desire to build the high-level vision and also dig in and understand the component behaviors
- Desire to work across technologists, product owners, and business leaders
- A solid understanding of the HTTP stack protocol and related RFCs, including (but not limited to): HTTP/1.1 and HTTP/2, DNS & Global Server Load -Balancing, TLS/SSL & Certificate Authorities, Cross-Origin Resource Sharing (CORS), Content Security Policy (CSP)
- Understanding of browser HTML page content and lifecycle, and related concepts such as: Javascript, CSS, and the DOM model / Image specific optimizations, such as responsive imaging, and lazy loading / Single page applications / Service workers
- Deep hands-on experience in a SaaS or hosted environment, including the following related skills: Strong skills in domain driven design for organizing services / XenVirtualization, AWS (or other hybrid/mixed cloud deployments) / RabbitMQ, Kafka (or other message queues) / ElasticSearch, -MongoDB (or other schema-less databases) / Postgres (or other strict schema relational databases) / Puppet (or similar configuration management tools, such as Chef, or Ansible) / Infrastructure as code tools (IE: Terraform, or Pulumi) / Containerized systems (IE: docker, kubernetes, mesos)
- Experience migrating to Microservices, DevOps and Continuous Integration cultures and technologies
