Responsibilities:

Collaborate with a senior PhD researcher to develop and test software and hardware for quantum computing applications.

Write programs in C, common LISP, and MATLAB to implement and refine algorithms.

Collect and analyze data using MATLAB/Octave to drive improvements in quantum computing performance.

Refine algorithms to enhance generality and parameterization, contributing to advancements in quantum computing theory.

Work directly with hardware components as needed, leveraging experience with FPGAs, electrical circuits, and semiconductor fabrication.

Contribute to the testing and debugging of hardware systems, utilizing lab experience and hardware debugging skills when applicable.

Requirements:

PhD in Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

Expertise in advanced mathematics and number theory.

Experience in computer science, electrical engineering, and quantum computing theory.

Familiarity with programming languages including C, common LISP, and MATLAB.

Knowledge of FPGA programming, electrical circuits, and semiconductor fabrication preferred.

Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced research environment.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.

Excellent communication skills and the ability to effectively communicate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
