Overview:
As a Landscape Laborer, you will contribute to the creation and maintenance of outdoor spaces by performing a variety of tasks under the direction of a Landscape Foreman or Supervisor. Your role will involve physical labor, including planting, mulching, mowing, and general site cleanup. You will work as part of a team to ensure projects are completed efficiently and to high quality standards, enhancing the beauty and functionality of landscapes for clients.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of landscapes for planting, including soil cultivation, grading, and sod installation.
- Plant trees, shrubs, flowers, and other vegetation according to design plans and specifications.
- Spread mulch, gravel, or other materials to enhance soil health and aesthetics.
- Operate and maintain landscaping equipment such as mowers, trimmers, and leaf blowers.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including watering, weeding, and pruning.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to coordinate tasks and ensure project objectives are met.
- Continuously learn and improve skills related to landscaping techniques and practices.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in landscaping or related outdoor work preferred but not required.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in various weather conditions.
- Willingness to learn and follow instructions from supervisors.
- Strong work ethic and reliability, with a positive attitude towards teamwork.
- Basic knowledge of plants, gardening, and landscape maintenance is a plus.
