My mother had a stroke with a fairly significant brain bleed. She is in inpatient rehab right now but is coming home next week.
She is doing ok. Cognitively she seems to be recovering very quickly, but needs assistance and a walker to walk still. Once discharged from ipatient PT whe will be sent to outpatient PT. I am learning health insurance will only cover so much PT (sounds like 3 days a week max) I am looking to supplement that with a Therapist I pay privately to come to her home and do extra work with her. Ideally you would be a PT/OT who already lives or works in the Hudson MA area and could stop by on the days that she doesn't have therapy scheduled at the outpatient rehab center and do work with her to supplement what is being done at the outpatient rehab facility. I understand that having an in home therapist would be more costly than a regular PT, but I am willing to discuss payment terms you think are fair. My top priority is making sure my mother gets as much PT as possible during this critical early stage of her recovery.
