Location: Scenic Maine Lakeside Camp

Are you ready for a new challenge in a picturesque setting? Spend your summer by the lake, creating memorable meals for an engaged and dynamic community at our premier summer camp in Maine.

Position Overview:

We’re seeking both a Head Chef and an Assistant Chef to lead our culinary team. The Head Chef is a seasoned professional responsible for managing all aspects of the kitchen, including meal preparation for campers and staff, inventory and provisioning, food safety, and maintaining impeccable hygiene standards.

You’ll collaborate with the Camp Director to create delicious and diverse meals that excite our international community of campers and staff.

Ideal Candidate Qualifications:

For Head Chef:

At least 5 years of high-volume culinary experience in a professional kitchen.

Proven ability to manage and motivate a team of 8–12 kitchen staff.

In-depth knowledge of food safety and nutrition.

Exceptional communication and leadership abilities.

Outstanding references showcasing your culinary and organizational expertise.

Assistant Chef Requirements:

Culinary experience in a professional or high-volume kitchen.

A collaborative spirit and willingness to support the Head Chef in all aspects of kitchen operations.

Details:

Season: June through August

Schedule: 8 hours/day, 6 days/week

Part-time schedules are available for local candidates

Compensation: $800–$1,500 per week (based on experience and role)

Perks: Room and board, laundry services, and access to camp facilities for responsible use.

Additional Requirements:

Background check required.

Current ServSafe certification, or willingness to obtain one prior to June.
