Pepita Coffee Seeks Part Time Barista

Who We Are: A café nestled inside Lamplighter Brewing Company’s front taproom, located in downtown Cambridge, and focused on quality, creativity, community, and craft. Our products include espresso-based drinks, coffee, tea, and other specialty beverages, as well as a full breakfast and lunch quick-service menu. We never shy away from fun twists on traditional drinks, unique flavors, and we’re a collaborative, passionate, and fun-loving team.

The Position: Baristas are responsible for making and serving all coffee drinks, interacting with patrons, taking orders, and occasionally running food /drink to customers. Baristas should be able to assess customers’ needs, preferences, and allergies and make recommendations from the Pepita menu. Baristas are also responsible for managing the register, bussing tables, and keeping the space clean and organized. New baristas will be trained to have a solid knowledge of coffee production and roasting, introductory knowledge of beer and the brewing process, and a complete understanding of Lamplighter and Pepita’s history, operations, policies and procedures. Qualified Baristas may be promoted to Lead Baristas, and/or train on brewing cold brew depending on position availability.

No experience required!

● Starting Wage: $12/hr + tips ($20-24/hr expected total wage)

● Start Date: Flexible. Part time position, 16-22hrs a week; must be available weekends - shift hours fall between 7am-3:30pm
