About Le Petit Four Bakery:

Le Petit Four is a French family owned bakery, we have been located in Needham for the past 3 years, doing business from our central kitchen/garage. We're now opening a big store in Wellesley MA in the Fall of 2024. This role will start in our new store in Wellesley MA.

Le Petit Four has become a very well-known brand in Needham and Greater Boston, the bread and pastries are some of the best you can try in all of New England. Using carefully-sourced ingredients from France (flour) and making everything from scratch, Le Petit Four is committed to producing the highest quality baked goods, people call it, a trip to Paris in Bakery box.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a friendly and energetic Front of House Team Member to join our fast-paced quick service bakery team. At Le Petit Four, we're striving for excellence. As a key member of our front of house team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, ensuring the cleanliness and efficiency of the selling area, and supporting our kitchen team in the delivery of high-quality food products. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about the food industry, enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, and are committed to delivering outstanding results.

Counter Team Member primary responsibilities and requirements:

Knowledge of all Le Petit Four products

Preparing and serving simple beverages.

Delivery of delicious food

Using Square cash register

Keep a clean and organized workspace.

Provide the highest-quality customer service to our guests

Successfully work as a key part of a dynamic team

Maintain safety standards at all times while adhering to our policies and procedures

Maintains a clean and well-stocked store.

Welcome guests to our store, while engaging with them throughout their experience.

Determine guests' needs by asking questions and sharing product knowledge.

Duties:

- Greet and welcome customers in a friendly and professional manner, ensuring a positive experience

- Operate Square POS system to process orders and manage cash transactions

- Provide accurate and efficient food and beverage service, ensuring all orders are fulfilled promptly

- Maintain a clean and organized small dining area, including bussing tables and restocking supplies as needed

- Make simple drinks with the enigma auto-coffee machine.

- Upsell and promote special deals, menu items, and beverages to increase sales

- Support kitchen team by expediting orders and communicating with the back of house team

- Sanitize and maintain the cleanliness of the dining area and food preparation stations

- Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure seamless service and high-quality food products

- Participate in ongoing training and education to stay up-to-date on menu items, promotions, and food industry best practices

- Perform other duties as required to support the success of the bakery.

Your recipe for success:

Strong passion and working knowledge for coffee, our products, and guest service.

Minimum 1 year of experience as a barista working in a fast-paced restaurant/café. (Highly preferred for baristas)

Engaging, warm, and welcoming communication skills and presence.

Desire and ability to work a flexible schedule.

High School degree or equivalent required. (where applicable)

Summer and weekend availability required
