Overview

Creativity is a must! We need someone with the drive to make outstanding sandwich offerings for a well established deli and market. We would like to see someone who has experience with culinary imagination including sandwich, soups, salads, baked goods, and more. Additional skills related to acai bowl, coffee barista, and handling of checkout of beer and wine to go is a PLUS!

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Deli Manager to oversee our deli operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing daily activities, ensuring food safety standards are met, and leading a team to provide exceptional service. This role requires strong leadership skills and a passion for culinary excellence.

Duties

Interacting with loyal customer following and creating a friendly work environment

Must be able to pass a background check as beer and wine sales are apart of business model

Supervise deli staff, providing guidance and training to ensure high-quality food preparation and customer service.

Manage kitchen operations, including inventory control, ordering supplies, and maintaining cleanliness.

Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment.

Oversee shift management, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently during peak hours.

Collaborate with the culinary team to develop menu items and special offerings that meet customer preferences.

Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues related to food quality or service.

Assist in the planning and execution of banquets or catering events as needed.

Experience

CREATIVITY!

POS system such as Square experience.

Experience creating and making of unique sandwich offerings.

Food experience in slicing fresh deli products.

Proven experience in kitchen management or restaurant management is essential.

Strong background in supervising staff and managing shifts effectively.

Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations is required.

Experience in culinary arts or as a cook is preferred.
