Job Title: Banquet Cook/Daytime Prep Cook (Full Time)
Location: Longfellow’s Wayside Inn, Sudbury, MA
Job Summary:
Longfellow’s Wayside Inn is seeking passionate and skilled Full-Time Banquet Cook/Daytime Prep Cook to join our kitchen team. Under the direction of the Executive Chef, you will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food safety focusing on Banquet Prep. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a historic and fast-paced culinary environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare ingredients and assist in food prep according to the restaurant menu
Set up and maintain clean workstations for efficient service
Cook and prepare a wide variety of foods including meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables, hot & cold items
Properly label, date, and store food and prep items
Maintain consistent portion sizes and follow all recipes and presentation standards
Monitor food inventory and notify supervisors of potential shortages
Use kitchen equipment according to manufacturer guidelines
Follow opening and closing procedures for kitchen stations
Ensure a clean, organized, and sanitary workspace at all times
Practice safe and hygienic food handling procedures
Skills and Qualifications:
Previous experience as a Banquet Cook or Prep Cook preferred
Knowledge of various cooking methods, kitchen equipment, and food safety procedures
Works well with others and independently
