Workday Developer

This role will be responsible to lead configuration aspects of projects, enhancements, or production support related activities within our Workday HCM while also performing the configuration and development for the same. Additional responsibilities include functional and technical administration and support of our Workday HCM and other applications across our HR technology stack between BBH and our 3rd party vendors. Non-technical skillset should include a high degree of organization, project management skills, effective communication, and the ability to collaborate with internal and external teams that include both functional and technical resources.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and execute the design and implementation of new Workday HCM functionality
  • Analyze and classify new enhancements or production issues to Workday configuration including identifying change needed and documenting scope of change and impact on other Workday functionality
  • Manage and lead aspects of Workday data conversions, our Workday annual cyclical events or Workday releases as needed
  • Partner with business clients to gather and document business requirements
  • Partner with HRBT colleagues in the design, testing and support of Workday integrations
  • Pursue innovative ways to improve our current processes
  • Collaborate with HRBT and HR to provide production support for clients on HR related applications, including addressing inquiries on functionality, internal processes, or data discrepancies
  • Follow the full development lifecycle of gathering business requirements, design, development, testing, documentation, and deployment

Skills Required:

  • 5+ years relevant experience in HRIS/HRIT with Workday HCM configuration required
  • Strong understanding of HR processes and procedures (i.e. compensation, benefits, payroll, time tracking, etc.)
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently, inform appropriately, and self-manage among multiple priorities
  • Ability to handle highly sensitive data with confidentiality and integrity
