AECOM is seeking a highly talented Architect with experience in technical design of complex buildings to join our Boston practice and foster technical excellence and innovation across a variety of building types.We are seeking a leader who is driven by a passion for developing technical details and specifications, delivering quality work, mentoring staff, and coordinating design across multi-disciplinary teams.

Job Summary/Responsibilities

As an Aviation Design and Technical Leader with recognized airport expertise and experience, you will lead interdisciplinary teams. Leveraging your industry experience and technical acumen, you will drive a wide range of project types and sizes through all phases of design, documentation, and construction.

The successful candidate will be an experienced team leader and will have the opportunity to lead not only from a project perspective, but from a practice and culture standpoint. The right person will be an integral part of our aviation architecture practice.What you will do:You will review the design and technical development and delivery of a wide range of projects in the studio. You will have a role in guiding teams and projects through SD, DD, and CDs, providing technical details, design and reviewCreate and coordinate Revit models for complex buildings with a keen understanding of the construction process, specifications, and applicable building codesOrganize and oversee the preparation of Construction DocumentsReviewing BIM, DDs, CDs, submittals and RFIs to ensure that all conform to appropriate specifications, standards and building codes during constructionDevelop technical solutions to a wide range of challenging technical problemsOversee the work of more junior designers and architectsManage technical interface coordination including full documentation coordination with structural, MEP, lighting, landscape, and civil consultantsSupport coordination of technical details between project team, clients, vendors, contractors, consultants, and building and permitting officialsAECOM’s Buildings + Places practice includes architecture, interiors, building engineering, workplace strategy, business transformation, asset advisory, economics and development planning, master planning, urban planning, and landscape architecture.  With a range of expertise from strategy and design through project realization, we create better outcomes to grow economies, protect natural systems, conserve natural resources, and connect and engage people through innovative, sustainable design solutions.  Our teams have worked on signature projects such as the London 2012 Olympic Park and Legacy Framework, to the new plan for the LA2028 Olympics, to industrial facilities for GE and Rolls-Royce, to headquarters and workplaces for NASA, Unilever, Sony Music, DirecTV, Box, Inc., and many Fortune 500 companies.
