Job DescriptionWe are seeking a dedicated Pediatric Medical Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be familiar with working as a Medical Assistant and will also be trained at the front desk to assist with phone calls, appointment scheduling, clinical messaging, check-ins, check-outs, and other front desk duties. This position offers an opportunity to work with a leading research and training hospital, enhancing your skills in a dynamic environment.Responsibilities
Review provider schedules daily and weekly to plan patient care.
Communicate schedule changes with providers.
Greet patients in the waiting room and escort them to the triage room and exam room.
Ensure efficient patient flow through the office, triage room, and exam rooms.
Check patients' identification.
Instruct patients on how to prepare for the physician or nurse practitioner.
Anticipate and set up special equipment and/or supplies needed for the visit.
Alert the physician or nurse practitioner when the patient is ready and communicate pertinent clinical information.
Assist with training and orientation of new Medical Assistant staff.
Assist with training and orientation of new equipment.
Assist patients through the checkout process when the visit is complete.
Clean and prepare rooms for the next patient.
Respond to needs to expedite visits and keep on schedule.
Qualifications
Completion of a Medical Assistant or Phlebotomy training program
Previous Medical assistant or Phlebotomy experience (Pediatric Phlebotomy Experience Preferred)
1 - 2 years of Medical Assistant experience minimum
Experience using EPIC
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $19.00 - $26.00/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
