We are seeking a full-time Clinical Research Assistant to assist in conducting cutting-edge clinical research to improve diagnostic approaches, treatment, and outcomes for children with Down syndrome and other neurodevelopmental disorders. Led by Dr. Carol Wilkinson, this role will work on projects including longitudinal phenotyping studies in young children and a remote implementation of the JASPER caregiver intervention.Duties & Responsibilities:

Maintaining day-to-day operations of innovative clinical and research database.

Assisting the Principal Investigator and senior team leaders in the development, implementation, and coordination of research projects.

Developing recruitment strategies, enrolling research participants in studies, and facilitating sample collection and distribution.

Assisting with remote and in-person recruitment and study visits, including visits involving electroencephalogram (EEG) recordings, behavioral testing, remote treatment trials, and other measures.

Collecting and recording study data from participant interviews and medical records, and assisting with the development and maintenance of study files and databases.

Coordinating and actively participating in team meetings and coordinator conference calls.

Participating in activities to ensure ongoing institutional and regulatory approval of studies including IRB submissions.

Providing assistance to PI and project managers with compilation of study progress reports and publications.

Coordinating between internal and external collaborators.

Qualifications:

A BA/BS degree in health, psychology or related field, with a minimum of 1 year of experience in relevant setting. Experience serving as a clinical research coordinator desired.

Knowledge clinical research processes and best practices.

Exceptional organizational skills and multi-tasking abilities, with good attention to detail.

The ability to take initiative and work with minimal direct supervision.

Ability to work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary project teams.

Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
