Sousa Design Architects, a 20-person architectural firm based in Brookline, is seeking a Finance Manager to oversee and manage our financial operations and administrative processes. This is a flexible role ideal for a highly organized, detail-oriented individual with a strong background in accounting and office administration.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounting: Manage day-to-day accounting functions and maintain accurate financial records
Workflow Management: Coordinate internal processes to support operational efficiency
Payroll: Oversee payroll and related reporting
Benefits Administration: Manage employee benefits including enrollment, compliance, and inquiries
Human Resources: Assist with onboarding, employee documentation, and HR compliance
Software:
- Proficient in QuickBooks (required)
- Experience with TSheets (required)
Qualifications:
CPA background is preferred
Proven experience in finance or accounting, ideally in a small to mid-sized firm
Strong understanding of payroll, benefits, and HR procedures
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Comfortable working independently and managing multiple responsibilities
Knowledge of architectural or creative firm environments is a plus
