Job Description

We are seeking an experienced People Ops & Systems Specialist to join our expanding organization! Our ideal candidate must be passionate about delivering an exceptional employee experience while fulfilling HRIS responsibilities for Human Resources, its customers, and global partners. The successful candidate will deliver key business reports and respond to routine/adhoc report requests, provide direction on future systems and process enhancements, lead HRIS projects, troubleshoot system errors, and test/implement new HR systems functionality. This individual must have great interpersonal and collaboration skills to lead various cross-functional projects.

This position is a vital role to optimize, support, and enhance our interfaces between our global Human Capital Management system (SAP) and our local HR systems. If you thrive in an “all hands-on deck” fast paced environment, love solving problems and can pivot quickly, we want to chat with you!

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Serving as the subject matter expert, and local system administrator, for HR systems including SAP and BambooHR.
  • Responsible for all data entry throughout the employee lifecycle. Ensures data integrity by conducting monthly/quarterly data audits of all employee data, and system access.
  • Takes ownership of HRIS processes and manages interface between HR systems and third-party systems/solutions, while enhancing and driving efficiencies in support of local and global initiatives.
  • Owns position management for the organization, providing monthly updates to open positions in HCM, and collaborating with Finance on annual headcount reconciliations.
  • Will partner with local or global counterparts to troubleshoot system issues.
  • Leads HRIS projects locally, including system implementations, and represents N. America in HRIS projects globally – must have ability to contribute in all aspects of projects from planning, building, implementing, testing and support/roll-out.
  • Drives HRIS reporting and data analytics company-wide, including adhoc and routine report requests (headcount reports, address reports, termination reports, etc.), and compliance reporting (FLSA, EEO, VETS, AAP reporting). Regularly monitors program compliance requirements and ensures proper compliance.
  • Provide training to new hires in employee facing HR technologies (i.e. SAP, Bamboo).
  • Build and maintain positive working relationships throughout all levels of the organization.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, be analytical, organized, and able to efficiently multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Project management experience is desired.
  • While there is much collaboration within the HR team, this individual must be able to independently drive tasks to conclusion.
  • Candidate will need to have strong written and verbal communication skills and demonstrate the ability to multi-task in a faced paced environment.
  • Bachelor’s Degree (Management of Information Systems or Business Administration) or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
  • Experience working in a global matrixed organization preferred.
  • Prior experience with system conversions and implementations desired.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail – passionate about data integrity and analytics.
  • At least 5 years of HR systems experience with SAP desired.
  • Basic knowledge of common HR practices and procedures.
  • Must be able to independently set priorities and juggle several tasks within a fast-paced, deadline driven environment with a positive attitude
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish desired.
  • Ability to handle high level of sensitive and confidential employee information.
  • Advanced proficiency of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and SharePoint.
  • Knowledge of government regulations, employment laws, and thorough knowledge of EEO and AAP regulations required.

Work Environment & Physical Demands

  • General office environment, my sit for long periods of time.
  • May be required to move or lift heavy boxes of employee files.
  • Domestic/international travel may be required to support training or global initiatives.
