Job DescriptionThe Master Electrician will be responsible for supporting various Telecom Electrical builds and overseeing projects/crews associated.Our client has developed an electrical practice to couple with their communications infrastructure practice. They have continued to dominate in the communications market, and almost all of their electrical work that must be done within the telecom installs has been outsourced until the past few years. The electrical team has continued to grow and now has their own division and office. Some of the main clients that this electrician will be supporting are on the wireless side of the house will be performing site hardening at cell sites as well as cross utilization for small cell deployments, ISP, etc. They are also getting heavily involved with EV charging stations so this candidate should anticipate work there as well.Need to have very solid DC power understanding.They will be working to support generator deployments for the wireless group, service work, upgrades, cabinet installs, basic electrical piping and wiring, etc.This position is really looking for someone who has aspirations to develop as a leader and Project Manager. The Master Electrician license is important, and so is the willingness to get hands dirty, but we’re really looking for an individual who wants to mentor and grow from an overall business standpoint.This is an opportunity to grow the market from the ground level.Need to be able to manage and mentor Journeymen and Apprentices.Mechanical aptitude is desired.Knowledge of OSHA and customer specific safety standards.Knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC) requirements and other industry standards.Knowledge of electrical circuits and wiring, and operating principles of motors.Experience creating project estimates.Demonstrate the ability to complete a job layout for projects of various scopes and sizes.Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and written reference material.Ability to follow instructions, possess the ability to be trained, mentored, and have a positive attitude.Ability to perform mathematical calculations.Ability to diagnose and resolve problems.Installing equipment cabinets and cabling for telecom and/or EV charging projects is preferred.Fiber optic or wireless communication experience is a plus.Analyze upcoming tasks and anticipate equipment, procedures, and training.Must be able to interact with our client project managers and resolve problems in the field.Traveling to job sites is required for this position.Top Skills' Details
5+ years of experience as a Master Electrician and holds license in MD, DC, Virginia, or the ability to get reciprocity in those states.
Highly proficient with managing and mentoring Journeyman and Apprentices.
Solid Understanding of National Electric Code (NEC) and overall industry standards.
Ability to perform Project Management tasks (internal/external stakeholder coordinator, tracking/reporting, agreement management, etc).
