Description We are seeking a meticulous Bookkeeper to join our CPA Firm in Nottingham, Maryland. The Bookkeeper will play a crucial role in handling payroll processing, bank reconciliations, data entry, and managing payroll tax and liabilities using QuickBooks. This role offers a short term contract employment opportunity.Responsibilities: Handle payroll processing operations in QuickBooks, ensuring accuracy and timeliness Perform bank reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records Understand and manage payroll tax and liabilities in QuickBooks, ensuring compliance with regulations Conduct data entry tasks, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of information Utilize Microsoft Excel for data management and analysis, with advanced usage preferred Perform full charge bookkeeping functions, maintaining accurate financial records Handle multi-state payroll, ensuring compliance with different state regulations Manage bookkeeping functions, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of financial data Oversee full cycle payroll, ensuring all stages are accurately completed Handle tax related tasks pertaining to payroll, ensuring accuracy and compliance with tax regulations. Requirements Proficiency in Full Charge Bookkeeping Demonstrated understanding of Bookkeeping functions Basic Bookkeeping skills are essential Proficiency in QuickBooks is highly desirable Experience in handling Payroll and Full Cycle Payroll Familiarity with Multi-state Payroll and Tax - Payroll Proficient in Microsoft Excel and MS Excel Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion Excellent problem-solving skills High level of interpersonal skills with demonstrated poise, tact, and diplomacy Excellent communication skills - written and verbal Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously Exceptional organizational skills Attention to detail in composing, typing, and proofing materials Strong customer service orientation Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
