Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Legal Assistant in LUTHERVILLE, Maryland. The successful candidate will be joining our team in the legal industry, providing extensive support to attorneys specializing in Trusts & Estates. The workplace is conveniently located within walking distance of shops and restaurants, making it a vibrant and dynamic environment to work in.Responsibilities: Act as a primary point of contact for clients, communicating via email and phone regularly Prepare, edit, and proo correspondence and legal documents, primarily focusing on estate planning, estate administration, and trust administration Liaise closely with clients' accountants and financial advisors, ensuring smooth communication and information flow File probate documents and maintain regular contact with Register of Wills' offices Manage invoicing processes including preparation and dispatch, receipt of payments, and bank deposit preparations Handle trust tax returns and tax payments Oversee the scheduling of appointments and maintain an up-to-date Estate Administration calendar Manage scanning tasks and regularly update office control lists such as task list, estate admin deadlines, original documents vault and inventory Perform administrative duties such as answering phones, welcoming clients, handling mail, ordering supplies, and managing office opening and closing procedures. Requirements Minimum of 3 years' experience as an Assistant in a law firm or other related professional services firm such as accounting or tax firm Proficiency in file management systems Exceptional client relations skills Experience in estate planning preferred Experience in probate and estate administration preferredCommitment to confidentiality and discretionHighly organized To be considered for this position, please apply directly and connect with Amy Hyman Baum on LinkedIn.
