Sample Analyst

We are seeking a Scientist I, Sample Analyst to support drug substances/product testing for our Professional Scientific Services group in the Gaithersburg, MD area.Analyst responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following :Candidate will be responsible for testing drug substances and products by established site-specific GxP, SOP, and protocols. Testing includes, but is not limited to; chromatographic, electrophoresis, and spectroscopic methods.BS degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or other related scientific discipline with 0-1 years of relevant experience or other equivalent experience. Prior wet lab experience is a must.Analysts will document and report all work using an electronic laboratory notebook and computer-based data storage software.Recognizes deviations from project guidelines, determines appropriate action and notifies applicable personnel.Candidate must have excellent organizational and time management skills, and the ability to work as part of a team.Maintain laboratory and equipment using Lean 6 Sigma methods.Must be willing to participate in cross-functional support teams, such as sample management.Applicants must be willing to work around and handle unknown health risk material in a Biosafety level 2/3 Environment.
