THE ROLE:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated PT/OT to provide assistance to an elderly lady 2-3 times per week at Country Meadows Assisted Living in Frederick MD.
SPECIFICS:
The lady is 87 years old and seeks to restore her mobility, stability and strength to continue performing Activities of Daily Living with reduced intervention from nursing staff. She has a positive attitude and a genuine desire to return to slightly greater independence. Assistance would likely be with standing, walking, hand/arm strength for transfers and other rehab as mutually agreed from time to time.
Timing can be relatively flexible, but would ideally be around lunch time, through the afternoon or early evening (weekdays and/or weekends.) This role would be ideal for someone already working in the Frederick area whose schedule (maybe recently retired, or with job flexibility) permits time to break away for private patient treatments.
You should be experienced in providing PT/OT for elderly patients and should be physically capable of assisting with helping the patient to transfer.
We seek part/time but recurring PT/OT support for an 88 year old woman living at Country Meadows Assisted Living in Frederick.
