Piper Clinical Solutions is seeking a

Research Associate to support a well-known research organization specializing in infectious disease research in the Frederick, MD area. The Research Associate will be responsible for performing DNA/RNA extractions and developing novel immunoassays.

Responsibilities for the Research Associate:

• Design, generate and characterize recombinant proteins

• Perform mammalian cell culture to support and execute, transient transfection, protein expression, and protein purification

• Perform ELISA assays and other cell-based assays

• Design, execute and record experiments

• Maintain detailed laboratory notebooks and documentation

Requirements for the Research Associate:

• Bachelor's degree in biological sciences/other related degree with 2+ years of experience or a Master's degree with 1+ years of relevant experience

• Experience with molecular biology techniques - PCR, Gel Electrophoresis, DNA Preparation

• Serological assays such as ELISA's and cell-based assays experience

Compensation for the Research Associate:

• Salary: Up to $65,000 based on years of relevant experience

• Benefits: Health, Dental, and Vision insurance and 401K
