Job Description:
Builders National Cooperative is currently seeking a full-time Residential Draftsperson to join our team in Frederick. As a Draftsperson, you will play a vital role in the design and construction of new production homes. This position requires a minimum of 3 years of experience in Residential AutoCAD drafting.
Responsibilities:
- Produce detailed plans for new residential construction projects using AutoCAD.
- Conduct material take-offs to ensure accurate estimation of project requirements.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and project managers to ensure designs meet specifications and requirements.
- Demonstrate a thorough understanding of residential construction methods and standards.
- Execute revisions and modifications to plans as necessary throughout the project lifecycle.
- Maintain organized documentation and records related to project drawings and specifications.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Residential AutoCAD drafting.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD software.
- Strong understanding of residential construction methods and terminology.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Flexibility to work partially remote with occasional in-office attendance and training sessions.
