Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced machinist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in precision machining, with expertise in operating manual machines to produce high-quality parts according to specifications. Pump repair knowledge a plus.
Responsibilities:
Set up and operate manual machining equipment, including lathes, mills, saws and grinders.
Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
Select appropriate tools, materials, and cutting speeds for each job.
Monitor machine operations to ensure quality and accuracy of parts produced.
Perform routine maintenance on machines to keep them in optimal condition.
Troubleshoot issues and make adjustments as needed to maintain productivity.
Adhere to safety protocols and regulations at all times.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a machinist, with a minimum of 5 years in precision machining.
Proficiency in operating manual machining equipment.
Strong knowledge of machining techniques, tooling, and materials.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain tight tolerances.
Effective problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
Certification or formal training in machining is preferred.
