We are currently seeking a hands-on, detail-oriented Assistant Maintenance Manager to support our field operations and enhance our service delivery.

Your Impact:
Coordinate day-to-day field maintenance efforts and service ticket resolution
Support internal teams with administrative and scheduling tasks
Deliver consistent, high-quality service to residents and maintain vendor relations
Ensure timely dispatch, follow-up, and completion of all work orders
In This Role You Will:
Communicate with tenants, technicians, vendors, and management in a professional and timely manner
Support the Maintenance Manager with administrative responsibilities and operational planning
Review and escalate service tickets received via our call center and direct tenant contact
Determine appropriate scope of work and delegate accordingly via AppFolio
Dispatch a high volume of work orders daily to technicians and subcontractors
Track and verify ticket progress from submission to completion
Participate in weekly meetings with the operations team
Manage the department’s calendar and coordinate internal communication
Monitor field activity to ensure contractor work meets company standards
Provide excellent customer service and resolve resident issues promptly
Requirements:
Administrative experience in a fast-paced environment
Experience in property management, preferably with affordable housing or maintenance operations
Experience managing maintenance workflows and using AppFolio or similar systems
Intermediate to advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office
Clear and professional phone and email communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Ability to learn new systems and processes quickly
Strong organizational and time management skills
Comfortable tracking and managing short- and long-term projects
Proven problem-solving ability in operational environments
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Self-motivated, dependable, and detail-oriented
Working Conditions:
This position requires both office and field work. Candidates should be comfortable sitting or standing for extended periods and must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.
